Task 10: Picasa Video

This activity is addressed for 3rd or 4th E.S.O. It is a very nice activity as we can share moments with our classmates while we practice English. This will help to create solid relations inside the group and get to know each other a little bit more.

After this we can play games or ask questions about the videos of the rest of the people.

Here we have an example:

Trip around England with some friends:
 Brighton, Oxford and London.

Task 9: PowerPoint auto-executable

This Link lead us to the DropBox Account where you can see the PPT and listen to the song.

(The teacher has the original copy of this)

Task 8: Pass the paper Power Point

This activity is for 2nd ESO students. We will use this game to practice the Past tenses when talking about real situations. The students will have to talk about experiences in their childhood, so they will have to think a bit to remember certain things.
This activity will also help the rest of the class to know each other better,
Another way to show that we can have a lot of fun while we share our experiences, learn and review grammar or vocabulary in English.

In this one we cannot hear the music, but the teacher has a copy of the original with the song I chose.

Task 7: Listening Worksheet from ESL Short Stories

This is a listening activity addressed to 4th E.S.O. students. The activity consists on:

a) Completing the text while listening to the audio provided. The students will have two chances to do this activity. Then they will check it in groups and we will correct it all together.

b) Answering some questions about the text they just completed. They will do this in pairs so they feel more comfortable with the activity. After this, we will correct it all together.

c) We can propose as a closing activity a debate about the necessity of TV and new technologies, the economical aspect and share opinions about how technology is changing our lives.

*The debate is the cause of choosing a 4th E.S.O. level, as it will be a good topic for them to debate on. At the text we can see a lot of verb tenses that is why the level needs to be high. The main purpose of the activity is to practice listening and speaking skills, such as comprehension and understanding of a listening, sharing ideas with the classmates, getting into an agreement and debating about current issues such as technologies and the media.

Task 6: Create a Video with Animoto

In this activity we will learn how to create a video with pictures and texts. In this case I have used pictures to wish a Happy Birthday to one of my friends. Students could do the same thing to wish someone a happy birthday, New Year, Easter Holidays, etc,

In this case the vocabulary is very limited, as we are just using it for a Birthday. They could use this also to create a short video about their holidays, to invent a story or to tell someone how much they love him/her.

This activity could be used for students from 1st ESO to 4th ESO, as it is very simple but entertaining.

Depending on the day and what we are planning to do the Animoto video about, we will learn how to express love, how to tell about holidays, etc. In this case, it is very simple, because we just used two sentences.
